In the beginning I have tried with Yeast but it seems like not working for me as the culture disappear after a week. Then I started to use Spirulina powder, and the culture growing with gradually. Below is the steps I took to culture them. Things that need to culture Daphnia 1. Daphnia starter 2. Bucket or tray 3. Spirulina powder 4. Dechlorinated water/aged water I'm staying in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. The only place that I can get daphnia starter is at Aquarium Kok which is located at PJ Old Town, for those looking for daphnia should know this place because only this shop selling it. I'm using basin which look more wider than bucket but you can use bucket too there is no issue on it. Bought spirulina powder from lazada which cost me about RM39. As for water I'm using my Coway water filter because the coway machine already filter the chlorine out. Steps: 1. Prepare the basin. 2. Add dechlorinated water. Mine was about 12L. 3. Prepare the spirulina. 1/2 teaspoon spirulina powder with 500ml dechlorinated water. Add into mineral water bottle and shake it. 4. Prepare the daphnia. I took from my other daphnia culture. 5. Add daphnia in to the basin. 6. Add diluted spirulina in to the basin. 7. Close it with net and add something heavy on the top so that the net won't move. 8. I put it on the outside so that the culture will get some sun shine.
